Berza Malagueña is a traditional stew originating from Malaga. The dish originated in the countryside, and there are many varieties because originally, everything that was available was placed into a pot and cooked into a stew. The list of ingredients usually includes beef, pork, bacon, chicken, chickpeas, blood sausages, potatoes, green beans, pumpkin, carrots, broad beans, garlic, olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper. The ingredients are all cooked in a large pot, and once everything becomes tender, it is served warm. This stew is especially popular in winter.
