Borstplaat

Borstplaat is a traditional candy characterized by its extremely sweet flavor. The candies consist of only sugar and water, while heavy cream is sometimes added in order to improve the taste. It is typically made for special occasions, notably Sinterklaas and Christmas. Borstplaat candies can also be prepared with a variety of flavorings such as chocolate, coconut, caramel, or banana, and they are usually shaped into figurines, hearts, or Sinterklaas himself.
