These traditional Chamorro cookies are characterized by their rock-hard texture, hence their other name, Chamorro jawbreakers. They are made with flour, salt, sugar, butter, and coconut milk. Guyuria cookies are typically deep-fried, then glazed with a thick sugar syrup that hardens when left to dry.
