Cucurucho

A specialty of the Cuban city of Baracoa, cucurucho is a sweet treat consisting of coconut flakes, coconut water, honey or sugar, and fruits or nuts wrapped in a palm leaf that is shaped into a cone. The name of the dish means cone or cornet, referring to the palm leaf. This sweet can be found throughout Baracoa, especially on beaches that are full of coconut palms, producing meaty and juicy coconut meat.
