Gašprec

Gašprec is a traditional dish originating from the region of Međimurje. This simple peasant dish is made with a combination of cornbread, lard, eggs, and salt. The cornbread is cut into slices that are fried in lard over medium heat. The fried slices are then covered with whisked and seasoned eggs, and the dish is fried for a bit more until the eggs are set. Gašprec is an old dish that's usually served for breakfast.
