Habsburška juha

Habsburška juha (lit. Habsburg soup) is a Croatian dish that is most often prepared in the northern parts of the country, especially in the area around Varaždin. This hearty soup is prepared with chicken stock, acting as a base. It is combined with hen meat, peas, boletus mushrooms, flour, and butter. All of the ingredients are boiled, and the whole thing is seasoned with salt and pepper. The soup is enriched with a combination of sour cream and egg yolks, which is added to it before serving. It is recommended to serve the soup with thyme-flavored potato noodles.
