Nafeleh

Nafeleh is a traditional dish originating from the province of Khuzestan. The dish is usually made with a combination of ground beef, gram flour, onions, vinegar, turmeric, oil or butter, mint, salt, sugar, and black pepper. The meat is mixed with grated onions, gram flour, turmeric, salt, pepper, and water. The mixture is shaped into meatballs that are first cooked in a mixture of sautéed onions, turmeric, salt, mint, sugar, and vinegar, and then lightly fried in the same pan. Once done, the meatballs are typically garnished with sesame seeds and served hot.
