Pan con pejerrey

Pan con pejerrey is a Peruvian sandwich made with breaded and fried pejerrey fish (Peruvian silverside) as the main ingredient. The fish is placed into round bread rolls with lettuce, salsa criolla, aji amarillo sauce and mayonnaise. This sandwich is considered a poor man's delicacy because it's inexpensive, yet flavorful and nutritious.
