Teisennau tatws

Teisennau tatws is a traditional potato cake. The potato cakes are usually made with a combination of potatoes, flour, sugar, salt, butter, milk, and cinnamon or mixed spice. The potatoes are boiled, mashed, then mixed with the rest of the ingredients in order to create a stiff dough. The mixture is kneaded gently, then rolled and cut into rounds and fried in butter on both sides or cooked in the oven. Once done, teisennau tatws are served hot with bacon or topped with fried eggs.
