Turkey Devonshire (or just Devonshire) is an American sandwich hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is served hot as an open-faced sandwich consisting of toasted bread that is topped with hot turkey, tomatoes, bacon, and a cheese sauce. It was invented by Frank Blandi at the Stratford Club in Shadyside in 1934. He named the sandwich after Devonshire St., which sounded classy and was located just one block away from the club.
