Russische punschtorte
Russische punschtorte is a classic torte of the Demel, a confectionary and coffee house, consisting of rum-soaked sponge cake, diplomat cream, and meringue frosting. The torte is adorned with candied violets and finely chopped pistachios. The meringue frosting is blowtorched, giving the cake a burnt appearance.
