Pistachio is one of the most popular flavors of Italian gelato. A mainstay in every gelateria, in its original form, this frozen treat combines pistachio paste with the classic base of milk, cream, eggs, and sugar. Occasionally, crushed and toasted pistachios can be added, but the basic texture should always remain dense and creamy. Due to the high prices of pistachios and pistachio paste, many gelaterias nowadays opt for cheaper replacements, but the best pistachio is considered to be the grown in a small Sicilian town of Bronte.

Another sunny day in Netherlands and of course i went for an ice cream. This time i tried pistachio with salted caramel together. Pretty nice and solid taste. But there are better ice creams in here. The real pistachios inside the ice cream was a really nice touch.

The best gelato ever. If you are visiting Haarlem you need to try this ice cream. There will be a line but totally worthy. No sugary feeling at all. You can taste the pistachio. The cone is really nice, fresh and crunchy. I would have given 10/10 if they put real pistachio pieces in the gelato.
