A superb döner kebab. Cooked over a glowing wood fire, sliced piping hot, in 200g of lavash bread… This döner, which I only had made with onions, was perfect.

What do critics say about food in Altındağ?
Mikayil Taşkın
A great value for money place, a casual spot nestled among the streets of Hacı Bayram. The streets don't seem very safe, but the food is excellent value for money. A nice place to seek some excitement 😊
This place is a strong contender for the top 1-2 spot in Ankara's kokoreç (lamb intestines) rankings. Their original location was inside the fire station square. They've now moved to the corner near the AKM metro exit. Their craftsmanship and the products they sell are impeccable. I recommend ordering several quarter portions in a row. The spices are minimal, the pieces are soft, and they're perfectly cooked. (Note: The last line "Ekşi Sözlük" is a Turkish word meaning "very good with kokoreç")
In Ankara, I'd say it's the best, and they start making it in the morning. It's finished around 2-3 p.m. It's incredibly soft, melt-in-your-mouth, and uses only cumin as a spice. I recommend eating it before it cools a quarter of the way.
Just before heading to the PlayStation Cafe, this is the perfect place to eat. When you order meatballs and bread, you get two of the ones pictured. The bread wasn't stifling; it was good, the meatballs were spicy, and the onions tasted slightly off-white. The employee asked for tea before ordering, and then offered it right after the meal. Salad, two kinds of pickles, and tomato-based appetizers arrived, all packed with flavor. Excellent value for money.
The tandoori lamb isn't perfectly dry, but the amount is adequate, and the accompanying onions are nice. You can also serve it as a sandwich. Elazığ kebab is a bit drier. Milk halva is served in a melon. I recommend it.
