Budino Margot

Budino Margot, also known as torta Margot is a creamy treat made with a mixture of eggs (typically egg yolks), fresh cream, and sugar that is placed on the base which consists of crushed amaretti cookies and chocolate. Flavorings such as vanilla, rum, amaretto liquor, or lemon zest can be added, and then the dessert is placed in bagna maria and baked in the oven until firm. It is usually either bundt-shaped with the hole in the center, or rectangular – in both cases, it is served well chilled, cut into slices, and sprinkled with amaretti crumbs.
