This was truly the most delicious Adana kebab I've ever had in Ankara. It's made from 100% lamb. The moment I touched it, it fell apart. It melts in my mouth too. It's slightly salty, and meat is naturally salty. The fat content is just right. A slight spiciness – everything was exactly as I wanted. The side dishes were also very good.
I finally had the chance to try the famous minced meat kebab and I was very pleased. There was none of the dryness problem that is common in Adana kebabs. The proportions of the ingredients were just right, and the taste of the meat was superb. Although I found the portion size small, it was a delightful meal. It's a dish I'll try every time I go there.
Just as I was wondering where the Harbiye kebab was, I came across this place and its classic Hatay kebab. It was late, so I ordered takeout, but it was still warm. The superbly sauced bread and the saucy Hatay kebab won me over. Unfortunately, it wasn't spicy, and the sauce could have been a bit more. Overall, it was very enjoyable, and I wish I'd ordered another portion. Thanks to Özgür Akbıyık for his recommendation.
You can choose it for its wonderful presentation and taste. The staff working in the restaurant was very kind and attentive.
We chose this beautiful restaurant last week. Before going to the restaurant, you can access the images, ingredients and prices of the food on the menu from the highlights section on their Instagram account. Since it was very busy on Saturday, I recommend that you make a reservation by phone. When we left the restaurant, there were 7-8 customers waiting in line at the door, the restaurant was full. The treats on the table were delicious. I chose the neighborhood kebab, the Adana was very delicious, the beef shish was soft, the liver was nice. Everyone at the table left satisfied, the portions were very filling. The last kunefe that came was also good. Those who ate the lamb ribs in the photo also liked it very much. There was only one napkin on the table, there was no salt, cumin or black pepper, they brought it when we asked, so I deducted some points. The service was good, the staff was good, the atmosphere was nice.
Hand-chopped lamb and tail fat, seasoned with little more than salt and red pepper, pressed along a long flat skewer, grilled over charcoal and served on flatbread with grilled peppers, tomato, onion with sumac and parsley: Adana kebap carries the name of its city for a reason.
