Abdülhamid'in favorisi olduğu varsayıldı. Tarif imparatorluk genelinde altın standart haline geldi ve bugün bile çilbir, sarımsak aromalı yoğurtla ıslatılmış haşlanmış yumurta anlamına geliyor. Yemeğin üzerine kırmızı biber gevreği ve öğütülmüş kırmızı biber serpilir ve genellikle pide ekmeğiyle servis edilir.

Çilbir

During Ottoman era, çilbir was simply the generic term for poached eggs prepared in a variety of ways. Over centuries, as the imperial cooks were improving different recipes, this particular variation supposedly became a favorite of the early 20th-century sultan Abdul Hamid II. The recipe became the gold standard across the empire, and even today çilbir stands for poached eggs doused in garlic-flavored yogurt. The dish is sprinkled with red pepper flakes and ground paprika, and typically served sided with pide bread.

Eggs were cold, the yogurt sauce at the bottom was too liquified for cilbir. Lettuces are redundant for this dish.

American pancakes are made from a thick batter consisting of eggs, flour, milk, and baking powder. Additionally, fruit such as apples, strawberries, and blueberries can also be added to the batter, along with buttermilk or chocolate chips. When served, they are usually stacked on top of each other, then topped with a variety of ingredients such as butter, maple syrup, fruit jam, honey, whipped cream, or peanut butter. American pancakes are often served for breakfast in the United States of America and Canada, and are sometimes accompanied by fried eggs, bacon, or sausages. In America, there are a few varieties of pancakes, and the most popular ones are johnnycakes (made from fried cornmeal) and silver dollar pancakes (smaller than regular pancakes). Originally, pancakes were symbolic of the sun and played a key role in the early religious rituals of the Native Americans, who first made them from ground cornmeal that was then cooked on hot rocks.

American pancakes

Really nice pancakes, perfectly cooked and still hot when served. The sugary, slightly sour jam was a perfect match, and the fresh strawberries were delicious though a few more wouldn’t hurt. Loved the handmade cream on top. All in all, a satisfying sweet dish for lunch.

A breakfast sandwich refers to any kind of sandwich filled with foods that are usually considered a breakfast staple such as cured meats, eggs, cheese, and various types of bread. Before the explosion of breakfast sandwiches in the United States, they were often consumed by factory workers of the 19th century London, where they were called bap sandwiches, named after the soft (and back then, often slightly stale) rolls filled with fried eggs, crispy bacon, and melted cheese. During the industrial revolution, the breakfast sandwich became popular in the USA, filled with eggs, green peppers, onions, and ham. It was a staple of blue-collar workers, and the first recipe can be found in a cookbook that was published in 1897. With the rise of the fast food industry, these sandwiches became even more popular, and today they can be found in most fast food restaurants, delis, and convenience stores in numerous varieties.

Breakfast Sandwich

Very tasty sandwich it was a bit spicy for me but the taste was great! I have to say price is a bit too much.

Korean Fried Chicken

A solid must-eat, Togarashi Chicken Bao

Every time I’m in Haarlem, I have to stop for this Togarashi Chicken Bao. It never disappoints.

You get a perfectly crunchy, well-cooked whole chicken breast stacked on a soft, slightly sweet bao bun. The seasoning is spot! Spicy, savory, and full of umami. The drizzle of mayo and soy glaze, plus that fresh crunch from the slaw and spring onions on top? Total flavor harmony.

Best part? It’s consistent. Same amazing taste every single time.
