There was absolutely no need for such a lahmacun; it was just a waste of calories. The spicy one is somewhat good, but I really don't understand why the non-spicy one exists. There's even a sign on the wall that says, "If you haven't eaten lahmacun here, you haven't really eaten lahmacun." Exactly.

Even though lahmacun is popularly nicknamed Turkish pizza, it's origin is disputed and can be traced to Armenia, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkiye. It can be found at numerous street stalls as well as in virtually any traditional restaurant, but also in kebab eateries where they typically serve mini lahmacuns as appetizers. The perfect lahmacun is made by rolling a ball of sturdy semolina dough into a thin disc which is only lightly spread with meat - either lamb or beef, minced to a paste together with chili, onions, and other seasonings. The dish is then shortly baked in a super-hot (and preferably wood-fired) oven. Lahmacun is best served hot with a drizzle of lemon juice. It is traditionally enjoyed folded around the crispy onions and a parsley salad known as piyaz. It is recommended to pair lahmacun either with the salty, cold yogurt beverage called ayran, or şalgam suyu, the barrel-fermented juice of red carrot pickles, which is salted, spiced, and flavored with the aromatic turnip called çelem.

What do critics say about Lahmacun in Turkey?
The ingredients are beautifully distributed, the meat is high-quality, and the crust is crispy. The crust could have been a little thinner. There are two pieces in one serving. You can order them as appetizers and enjoy them.
The lahmacun is quite crispy, thin and crunchy. Of course, it softens as it cools, which is normal. The side dishes are quite plentiful and varied. I recommend ordering the roasted eggplant as well. It's quite large; three halves would be enough for two normal people. The balance of garlic and onion is good; it doesn't cause any discomfort afterwards. Unlike other places, I didn't experience any upset stomach afterwards. I highly recommend it.
Besides the three types of lahmacun and drinks, they don't even bring salad if you ask for it. This is unusual for someone familiar with the Aspava culture. The price and size are excellent; it's a nice appetizer if you come across it on the go. The cheese and plain lahmacun are good, I found the egg one unnecessary. I recommend it.
We tried the classic lahmacun while we were on the road and we were a little hungry. It wasn't very tasty but it was good to eat and it was nice for the price.
1 lahmacun is quite big and enough to be quite filling. The filling of the lahmacun is a lot, the dough is thin. The dough is cooked nicely in terms of crispiness. It can sometimes have burnt edges due to the density. The shop is generally busy. The shop where you can eat the best lahmacun in Ankara that I can recommend.
