Gyros is one of the most popular Greek street food dishes, consisting of meat such as pork and chicken (in Greece) or lamb and veal (popular in other countries) cooked on a vertical spit. The meat is sliced in thin shavings and is then usually placed in a pita bread along with sauces such as tzatziki and vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and cucumbers. Gyros is derived from the Greek word gheereezo, meaning to turn, referring to the constantly rotating vertical spit on which the meat is cooked. Some believe that gyros originated during the time of Alexander the Great, when his soldiers skewered the meat on their swords and cooked it over a fire. Others claim that gyros was introduced to Greece in 1922, with the refugees from Constantinople and Smyrna. Many of the refugees became merchants and opened their shops with tiny holes in the wall, where gyros was sold. After WWII, gyros gained popularity and spread to Europe, Australia, and the United States. Today, gyros is known as one of the most popular street food varieties around the world.

Etli ekmek is a delicious Turkish pizza-like dish originating from the city of Konya. The name of the dish means bread with meat. It consists of a thin, crispy flatbread made with flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and oil, which is then topped with ground beef and finely chopped onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Etli ekmek is sometimes additionally topped with cheese before baking. Once the baked dish develops a golden-brown color, it is served cut into smaller pieces while still warm. Pair it with a glass of refreshing ayran for the best experience.

Döner kebab is a delicacy that is known throughout the world, consisting of grilled pieces of meat that are shredded from a vertical skewer. The meat is typically seasoned with fresh herbs and spices. Originally, the meat used in döner was exclusively lamb, but today in Istanbul, there are kebabs prepared with a combination of lamb and beef, or sometimes only with beef. Meat that is grilled vertically on a skewer isn't a new thing, as it has been mentioned in the 18th-century Ottoman travel books. The sandwich form döner kebab, which means rotating kebab, appeared in the early 1970s in Berlin. It is believed that Kadir Nurman was the first to place the shaved pieces of meat into a flatbread and serve it with vegetables such as tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cucumbers, and a squirt or two of sauce, unlike before, when the ingredients were served on a plate. Along with many of the Turkish variations on döner kebab, there are also numerous other regional variations in countries such as Armenia, Vietnam, Austria, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.

Beyti is a traditional kebab variety originating from Istanbul. It consists of ground lamb or beef that's seasoned with spices, grilled on a skewer, then served wrapped in lavash, cut into pieces, and topped with tomato sauce and yogurt. The ground meat is typically mixed with onions, eggs, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, breadcrumbs, paprika, and black pepper. Lavash or phyllo pastry is brushed with butter, then wrapped around the grilled kebabs into a roll. The rolls are cut diagonally, then topped with a sauce consisting of tomatoes and butter, while the yogurt is usually served in the center of the rolls or on the side. Some people serve the dish with bulgur or steamed rice, while garnishes might include ghee and pistachios. This kebab variety was named after Beyti Güler, a restaurant owner from Istanbul who invented the dish in 1961.

Buranın dönerini severek yiyorum. Biraz soğuk geldi galiba saat 12’de öğle arası yoğunluğundan erkenden kesiliyor. Patatesler de lezzetli baya. Et çok yağlı değil, rahatsız etmiyor

Yemek porsiyonu küçük, lezzetli, ikramlar iyi, hizmet hızlı. Personel güler yüzlü

Döner çok tuzlu ve yağlıydı. Etin koku biraz ağırdı. 120 gr olan döneri bitiremedim bile.

Bence gayet lezzetli bir döner. Çok yağlı değil. Tuzu azaltılırsa daha güzel olabilir. Yanında gelen patates salata her şey lezzetli. Aspavalardan daha lezzetli bir tercih olduğunu düşünüyorum.

The bread was a bit thicker than I expected. It is very important to have crunchy taste and this one was lacking.

Meat was fine and fat was a bit too much.

Still a decent a food to try but there are better versions I tasted.
