What to eat in Amasya?

The meat was dry; I don't know if it has anything to do with Ramadan, but apart from the cooking, the meat itself seemed lacking. The other kebab I ordered, the one on the skewer, was good as always.

At the entrance of the shop, the whole lamb is rotating on a spit. It's served in portions like this; for a more filling meal, you can order 1.5 portions or by the kilogram. You can choose between bone-in or boneless. I recommend it if you want a beautifully cooked, tender, and juicy lamb that isn't dry.

It has been my favorite food since I was a kid. The meat is really delicious and melts in your mouth, flows with the oily bread. You can go to Gümüşhacıköy just to eat it. We chose it as 1 kilo and ate it for 4 people. It was filling. The price I wrote is for 1 kilo. They serve it with salad and sumac onions. I highly recommend it.
