What to eat in Oost?

The kelle paça soup was delicious, with a rich flavor and perfect consistency. The garlic sauce complemented it really well.

I ordered half size. The meat ratio, taste was really nice. On the side you have spices. Also as an extra you could have lemon.

Served hot and fresh. Really tasty meat and good bread-meat ratio. I prefer this version more than the classic etli ekmek version. My regular selection every month you would not be suprised.

Our next dish in the restaurant was a version of pide with cheese. Bread quality was at top again. The cheese was famous Turkish white cheese and tasted well. Mushrooms were cooked outside and put on top of the cheese was a nice touch. Sprinkles of meat pieces and fresh onions also created a nice mixture. This dish could get a better score if there was no pomegranate sauce it made the dish so sour.

We have been following the chef for a while and it was the time to test the food on amsterdam sail day. When we saw the pide we knew it was time to go. The bread is klasik black sea (karadeniz kayik) version. Tick, crunchy and tasteful. Proper pide bread if you are from north side of Turkey you would know. Homemade sucuk, eggs and light cheese was perfect. I always prefer it with just sucuk but this version reminds me the Turkish breakfast.

Every month I try to eat this food. It has a standard so you can always have the same feeling. The meat quality is good. Pide itself is crunchy and slim. You need to be quick to eat. We were lucky the food was superhot. You can not compare the ones in Turkey but in the Netherlands this is a good quality food.
